The Election Commission of India has banned the conduct of any exit poll and publicizing their results through any form of media from the period of March 27 to April 29.

GUWAHATI: The Election Commission of India has banned the conduct of any exit poll and publicizing their results through any form of media from the period of March 27 to April 29.
The ECI has also prohibited the display of any election matter including results of any opinion poll or any other survey, in any electronic media, during the period of 48 hours ending with the hours fixed for conclusion of poll in the respective polling areas in connection with the elections, stated a release from the Media Cell of the Chief Electoral Officer, Assam
