Examination schedule on Lachit Divas irks All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU)

GUWAHATI: The All Tai Ahom Students’ Union (ATASU) has expressed anger over the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC)’s scheduled examination on November 24. In a release on Monday, stating the Lachit Divas has been celebrated across the State to commemorate the heroism of Mahabir Lachit Borphukan and the victory of the Assamese army in the battle of Saraighat, ATASU Kamrup metro district committee president Chao Biswajit Gogoi said, “The schedule of the APSC’s combined competitive (Prelim) Examination, 2018, on November 24 is an insult to Mahabir Lachit Borphukan.”
