In the raid, the team arrested two fake note smugglers identified as Sariful Islam alias Bhuyan and Sajadul Islam, both hailing from the Gohain colony of Bihpuria in Lakhimpur district.

According to police sources, the team seized as many as 20 bundles of fake Rs 500 notes that had a face value of Rs 10 lakh.
