FIR filed against earth-cutting by Army in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A local resident named Bikash Sarma has filed an FIR at the Satgaon Police over the Army's action of cutting a hill in the Panjabari area.

The FIR mentions that the earth-cutting activity is going on in spite of the district administration's ban on such activity. Moreover, the FIR has expressed concern about extensive damage to the Amchang Wildlife Sanctuary due to the hill-cutting work.
