Fire damages vehicles in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: It was reported on Saturday that a fire that started in the parking lot of a building in the Christian Basti neighbourhood, at the Silver Square building, had destroyed a number of automobiles. Information indicates that the fire initially started inside a car that was undergoing maintenance. Other nearby parked cars were quickly destroyed by the fire as it quickly spread to them. According to sources, the fire destroyed vehicles worth lakhs of rupees. Fire tenders rushed to the scene soon after, and efforts are on to douse the fire.
