Fire in vehicle showrooms at Basistha, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A fire broke out at two adjacent two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicle showrooms at the Basistha area here early on Wednesday morning, causing considerable damage.

According to sources, 11 fire tenders from various locations were used to douse the fire at the Beneli and North East ISUZU showrooms.

The sources said that seven new motorbikes, two service bikes and four

Isuzu vehicles were damaged in the fire, along with paperwork.

The cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained, the sources added.
