Food and water providers awarded

GUWAHATI, July 7: The best food (Bhandaras) and water providers to devotees in the designated camps during the Ambubachi Mela at Kamakhya were awarded by Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (M) Virendra Mittal at a meeting at the conference hall of his office on Friday. The award-winning food and water providers of various camps are Sri Maa Kamkhaya Sewa Trust, Jay Maa Kamakhya Naag Baba Sewa Samity, Shree Sukreswar Baba Sewa Samity, Dispur Sewa Samity, Fancy Bazar Bool Boom Samity and Odalbakra Yuva Sangha. Along with a trophy each, the winners were given a certificate of appreciation and a gamosa by the DC. Moreover, 24 food bhandaras and 21 water providers were also felicitated with a certificate and a gamosa.
