Guwahati: Former Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi was discharged from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital after being hospitalised for 60 days. He was admitted on August 25 after testing positive for COVID-19. Assam Health and Family Welfare Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the news of Gogoi being discharged on Sunday.
Former CM took to Twiter to share his gratitude to GMCH and the entire team who took excellent care of him ion the last two months. He wrote:
Gogoi will continue his further treatment at his official residence under the supervision of doctors. 86-years-old Gogoi had previously served the state as the Chief Minister for three terms.
