Former Ranji Player arrested in Guwahati for drugs possession

Guwahati: Based on a tiff off, police arrested one Mujamil Haque from a rented house at Barsapara Rolling Mill under Fatashil Ambari police station in Guwahati today at around 9.30 am.

Following the investigation, Fatashil Ambari Police seized at least 28-gram Heroin, Nitrosum and 200 Pasmo Progesic Plus tablets, Cefrex Cough Syrup two cartoons, Corex Cough Syrup 120 bottles, cash Rs 12,500 from his possession.

Speaking to The Sentinel Digital, the officer in charge, Fatashil Ambari, Dilip Bharali said that Mujamil Haque is a former Ranji Trophy player was earlier arrested in similar kind of case. “He was also involved in drug peddling,” said OC Dilip Bharali.

Meanwhile, he is being interrogated at Fatashil Ambari, informed Officer in Charge Dilip Bharali.
