Four arrested with drugs in Guwahati

PALASBARI: The 'war on drugs' continues in the city with the arrests of four drug peddlers on Tuesday.
According to reports, in a joint operation by Palasbari Police and Kamrup Police as many as 12 gm drugs were seized from three peddlers in the Kahilipara area here. Out of the three arrested peddlers two have been identified as Stephen Chaminiel Hauki and Lal Folal Mate. In this regard, a case (461/21) has been registered at the Palasbari Police Station. In another operation conducted by SOG (Special Operation Group), around 10 gm heroin was recovered from one Mehbub Islam (32) from the Datalpara area here. A case has been registered at Fatasil Ambari Police Station and the investigation is on.
