Fourth Body Recovered from Kopili Power Station

GUWAHATI: On October 7, the water tunnel pipeline at Kopili Power Station was ruptured, resulting in a sudden rush of water due to puncture of the penstock in Kopili power station. The power station was completely inundated and four employees of NEEPCO were missing. On Wednesday, the fourth body was recovered by joint team of NDRF & SDRF rescuers from the G-2 floor and identified it as that of K Raju (23) C/O PES Engineering, Umrongso. The body was carefully taken out and handed over to Police Station, Umrongso in Dima Hasao in the presence of NEEPCO officials.
