GUWAHATI: Sleuths of the Crime Branch caught a man – Dibyajyoti Das – while handing over fake appointment letters to some people, from Nagaon on January 28, 2021. The man was brought to Guwahati on Saturday and produced before the Court that sent him to four-day police custody.
According to the Crime Branch, Dibyajyoti Das forged the signatures of some top-level police officers and issued fake appointment letters against Rs 3 lakh each.
