GUWAHATI: Late Dr Anandeswar Barthakur's philosophy of giving back to society and making health care accessible to the lesser privileged is the foundation on which Barthakur Clinic & Hospital, the first private Multispecialty Hospital of Guwahati, was built. His daughters, Dr Arunima Goswami (MD, Medicine) along with Anubha Singh, proprietor of Vijaya Nursery and his granddaughter Priyanka Singh, CEO of Vijaya Nursery, organized a free health camp for the people of the nearby villages at Khetri on Sunday.

According to a press release, nine doctors participated in the health camp. They were Dr Arunima Goswami, Dr Anjali Baruah, Dr Arati Deka, Dr Bidyabati Das, Dr Lily Das, Dr Ashok Hazarika, Dr Achyut Narzari, Dr Swagata Nandini Baishya and Dr Pariha Nasreen. Six support staff from Barthakur Clinic & Hospital also participated in the health camp. All the doctors of various specialties readily agreed to provide their services for the benefit of the community. Apart from free consultation and medicines, blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, fibro scan for liver and nerve testing were also conducted.
