GUWAHATI: Gauhati University NSS Cell organized a G20/Y20 mini marathon from Sixmile to Panjabari and back with the motto 'Education for All' in association with KIIT. Sayed Ali, State Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Guwahati, and Pranjit Bhagawati, Deputy Director, Sports Authority of India, Guwahati Regional Centre, along with Dr Ranjan Kr Kakati, Director, Students' Welfare, Gauhati University flagged off the mini marathon. Since the G20/Y20 youth summit will be held in India so to focus on the event, the marathon has been named as G20/Y20 Marathon. Welcoming the guests and participants, Dr Ranjan Kr Kakati said,"It is our prime responsibility to ensure education for every youths in India." He thanked KIIT for taking such a good initiative.
Sayed Ali, State Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra, and Pranjit Bhagawati, Deputy Director, SAI, Guwahati spoke about maintaining fitness and proper education environment for all. Jibon Prakash Sarangi from KIIT and around 250 NSS volunteers and programme officers participated in the programme.
