GUWAHATI: With Dewali, the festival of light approaching, there is apparently a mushroom growth of gambling dens in several parts of the city. While the city police claim to be on the vigil, yet it is seemingly apparent to all that the gambling mafia is all set to have a field day. Some of the areas where such gambling dens are springing up are Basistha, paltan Bazar, Noonmati, AT Road, Pandu, Dharapur and Mazirgaon to name just a few.
