Gauhati University (GU), Down Town University to be quarantine centres

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup (M) District Administration has ordered the authorities of the Gauhati University (GU) and the Down Town University to vacate their hostels as they will be converted into quarantine centers. The hostels will be developed into quarantine centres with all the facilities especially to accomodate passengers coming from outside Assam. The arrangement to turn the hostels into quarantine centres will be started as soon as the hostel boarders collect their belongings from their rooms. It is to be mentioned that the Gauhati University has issued a notification as on May 25 by asking the boarders to collect their necessary items on or before May 27.
