Gauhati University Inter College Youth Festival Concludes in City

GUWAHATI: Gauhati University (GU) Inter College Youth Festival, 2023, organized by P.G.S.U., GU under the Gauhati University Sports Board from November 1 to 5, concluded on Sunday. Attending the valedictory programme, Prof. Pratap Jyoti Handique, V.C., GU, congratulated the winners in particular and all the participants in general for the successful completion of the festival. Prof. Dipak Kr Sarma, former VC, Kumar Bhaskar Verma Sankskrit University, attended the programme as the chief guest and stressed the importance of co-curricular activities apart from academic careers. Around 700 participants from 60 colleges participated in the festival.

Dr. Ranjan Kalita, Principal, Rangapara College, and Dr. Mani Sarma, Principal, Saraighat College, attended the program. Lonismita Devi from Handique Girls College bagged the best singer award. Hrishikesh Bordoloi from Gauhati University PG Classes was awarded as Best Actor, Luna Saikia from Jagiroad College as Best Actress, and Bitupan Basak from Govt. College of Arts and Craft as Best Fine Artist. Kashyap Kalyan Gogoi, President of PGSU, presided over the meeting, and Punyabrat Dutta, GS, PGSU, offered a vote of thanks, stated a press release.
