Gauhati University suspends IDOL scam accused Kandarpa Das

GUWAHATI: Gauhati University (GU) on Tuesday suspended Kandarpa Das for his alleged involvement in the IDOL scam. Das has been accused of being the main culprit in the scam surrounding the Institute of Distance and Opening Learning (IDOL) under Gauhati University. Kandarpa Das had served as the director of the IDOL. On Tuesday, a meeting of the executive council of Gauhati University was held where it was decided to suspend Kandarpa Das.
