Geetanagar police arrested youth for allegedly raping a girl

GUWAHATI: The Geetanagar Police on Monday night arrested a youth for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in Bhaskar Nagar area of Guwahati. The accused has been identified as Bamun Babun Sarma. According to reports, the accused was sexually molesting the minor for a long time. In this regard, the victim's mother had registered a case (316/20) U/S 376 (F) IPC r/w section 5 (N) POCSO Act at the Geetanagar Police Station.
