GUWAHATI: Fight Against Injustice of APSC admin Manas Pratim Baruah on Friday said that there were glaring errors in the Combined Competitive Examinations (CCE), 2020 conducted by the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC).

In a statement Baruah said that atleast 5-6 wrong answer keys were detected in the Combined Competitive Examinations, 2020 and those errors were brought to the notice of the Commission.

He mentioned that even after a week of declaration of results, the APSC has failed to provide the cut-off marks, corrected answer-key, OMR copies and marksheets of the candidates.

"Last year the APSC had provided all the information on the day of the result. Since the APSC has introduced negative marking this year Combined Competitive Examinations, the cut-off mark and corrected answer-key is quite important for the candidates. It is quite surprising that the Commission has not provided the informations," Baruah said while seeking the intervention of the chief minister on the matter.

He further mentioned that despite the arrest of former APSC chairman Rakesh Paul, there has been glaring errors and irregularities in the Combined Competitive Examinations, which has been contrary to public expectations.

"It was noticed from the statement made before the court that there were 19 mistakes in 2016 and 35 mistakes in 2018 in APSC answer key for Combined Competitive Examinations. Such staggering mistakes were not even seen during the period of former chairman Rakesh Paul," Baruah added.
