GMC sanitizes Athgaon Kabarstan area to prevent COVID-19 in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) conducted a sanitization drive at the Athgaon Kabarstan area using VARUN deployed by the Assam Police and the Fire and Emergency Service Department, Assam, on Friday.

The two divisions of GMC, the Div-I and Div IV sanitized the area. The drive was conducted under the guidance and supervision of GMC comissioner Devajyoti Hazarika. It is to be mentioned that Guwahati Municipal Corporation is further carrying fogging operations in various areas of the city. Some of the proposed areas for fogging operations include- Kahilipara, Beltola Tiniali, Boragaon, Lokhra, Sarumotoria, Bharalumukh, Athgaon, Uzanbazar and Rehabari.
