Gorchuk police apprehended two men with fake gold boats

GUWAHATI: Gorchuk police apprehended a man named Babul Hussain near Boragaon for allegedly having fake gold boats weighing around 1 kg 200 gm. Upon interrogation, Babul Hussain revealed that he possessed 5 duplicate gold boats, and he had an associate named Manoj Das . He also informed that he was waiting for Monoj Das at Changsari.

After getting the information, the police moved to Changsari to apprehend the man. And Monoj Das got apprehended at Amingaon with another fake gold boat in his possession.

According to police sources, they were carrying the fake gold boats from Lakhimpur to Guwahati with a further plan to supply them outside Assam. Babul Hussain (28) hailed from Bongalpara, Lakhimpur, and Manoj Das (30) from Merinpara, Amingaon.

However, the actual owner of the duplicate gold boats is still not apprehended according to them.
