Gorchuk police seized 43.760 gm drugs in Lalung Gaon; Two arrested

GUWAHATI: Gorchuk police seized 43.760 gm drugs from a truck (MN07C4131) in the Lalung Gaon area here on Saturday. Two persons – Rupesh Kumar hailing from Bihar staying at Fatasil Ambari and Farukh Kama hailing from Manipur – were arrested in that connection. Rs 46,000 in cash was recovered from the duo whose confessional statement led to the apprehension of three others – Safi Ahmed hailing from Manipur, Azad Rahman and Guljhar Hussain, both from South Salmara – from the Pamohi area. A case (366/20 u/s 21(B)/29 of NDPS Act) has been registered in this connection.
