Gorchuk Police Seizes Boats Made of Fake Gold; 2 Held for Fraud

GUWAHATI: Two persons were arrested for trying to sell boats made of fake gold.

According to sources, the two fraudsters had tried to dupe a person from Uttar Pradesh and fixed the deal for the fake gold boats at Rs 3 lakh. The person was lured to come all the way from Uttar Pradesh to Guwahati. Gorchuk Police got the tip-off and raided a place under Gorchuk PS. The two fraudsters were then arrested. They have been identified as Rasidul Ali (22) and Inamul Ali (25) of North Lakhimpur. Police seized the two boats made of fake gold weighing 3.715 kg.
