Gorchuk Police seized heroin worth Rs 1.50 crore in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Following the massive haul of narcotics approximately valued at Rs 1.50 crore at ISBT (Inter State Bus Terminus) here on Wednesday, Gorchuk Police again recovered heroin of 150 gram at the same place on Thursday. Following a lead, the police carried out a search operation in a night super (MN-04P0844). The drug was concealed in a secret chamber in the vehicle. The bus was heading from Manipur to Guwahati.

Police have arrested two persons, namely Md Rekib (35) and Md Ibungo (34). Both hails form Thoubal District in Manipur.

Police sources said that the value of the seized heroin in the open market is around Rs 1.50 crore.
