Gorukhuti project will boost Agricultural sector, says Minister Atul Bora

GUWAHATI: The 'Gorukuti Project' under Sipajhar LAC (Legislative Assembly Constituency) will be established for development of the Agricultural sector in Assam, stated State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora here on Friday.

Talking to The Sentinel, Minister Bora said, "The Chief Minister has undertaken the project to fulfil the vision of Prime Minister to double the income of farmers.

However, some people have been illegally occupying the government land there. Before the eviction drive at Dhalpur, the administration issued notice to the people. Now, we will commence agricultural activities there.

"MLA Padma Hazarika will supervise the work there. Local employment avenues will be generated through the Gorukhuti project."
