GRP seized 20 kg Ganja at Guwahati Railway Station

Guwahati: The Guwahati Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered at least 20 kgs of suspected Ganja from 12423 Down Rajdhani Express Train at around 7 am on Saturday.

As per GRP, the suspected ganja was recovered from (Coach No B11, Seat No 10) the possession of one identified as Manjeet Kumar aged 26 years old. He was also arrested in connection with the incident.

It may be mentioned that Manjeet Kumar is the son of Bijay Singh and he is a resident of High School Jhajjar Road in sector 2 of Bahadurgarh Police Station under Jhajjar District in Haryana.

A case has been registered under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

GRP also suspects that the Ganjas were being bought from Nagaland’s Dimapur.
