GRP Seized Korean Cigarettes at Guwahati Railway Station

GUWAHATI: Government Railway Police (GRP) seized 317 packets of Korean cigarettes in three bags from two passengers in down Yaswantpur Express train on Saturday at Guwahati Railway Station. The two identified as Arbind Kumar, 23, of Manipur and C Kartik, also from Manipur were apprehended. They had boarded the train at Dimapur, from where they bought the seized Korean cigarettes at Rs 60,000 and were on their way to Bangalore. The cigarettes were valued at approximately Rs 2.50 lakh. GRP handed the duo over to the Customes Department along with the seized items.
