Guwahati: 75-Year-Old Landlord Allegedly Hacked To Death By Tenant

Guwahati: A 75-year-old man was allegedly hacked to death by a tenant in Guwahati's Japorigog area on Friday.

As per reports, the tenant, identified as Dharani Deka, attacked his landlord named Hemdhor Baruah with a machete for allegedly misbehaving with his wife.

He also deposited the machete used in the murder.

The reports further claimed that after committing the crime, Deka surrendered himself at the Dispur police station.

Meanwhile, the landlord was rushed to a private hospital; however, he succumbed to his injuries.

Deka was working as a DTP operator at a private news channel.
