Guwahati Crime News: 50-Year-Old Man Arrested For Attempting To Rape Minor

GUWAHATI: Off late Guwahati has been topping the charts for all the wrong reasons, from a series of murder cases or rape cases.

In the latest from the city's crime news, a 50-year-old man allegedly attempted to rape a minor girl in the city's Pandu area.

As per a report, the man identified as Jalaluddin entered the house of the minor in the Pandu area with the motive of raping her.

Meanwhile, the girl raised an alarm, and accordingly, the local residents rushed to the spot and caught hold of the man. The mob tied up the man and thrashed and was later handed over to Jalukbari Police Station.

Earlier in the month of October, a 50-year-old man has been arrested by the police for, allegedly, raping a minor girl in Paneri, Udalguri district of Assam.

According to reports, one Deepak Mahato, 50, allegedly raped a 10-year-old girl from his neighborhood in her residence. The victim's parents went to their work when the incident occurred and she was alone in the home.

Taking advantage of it, the accused entered the home and raped the girl luring her to give 20 rupees. Later, she revealed to her mother the incident. Her mother alleged that the accused raped her minor daughter alluring to give 20 rupees.
