Guwahati: Dead Body of Youth Recovered In Hatigaon

GUWAHATI: In one of the sensational and shocking incidents, a dead body of a youth was found hanging inside a room in the Hatiogaon area located in Guwahati, Assam on Sunday 12 December.

The deceased person was later identified as 24 years old named Rupjyoti Deka hailed from Batadroba, a place in the Nagaon district of Assam.

According to reports, the dead body was found hanging inside a room of a house in the Hatigaon area. The situation in which the body was recovered raised suspicious about a suicide case but the real cause of death is not yet known. The police reached the spot after getting informed by the locals.

It is known that the deceased youth Rupjyoti Deka was reportedly working as a driver for Gulzar Hussain who is a member of the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) Minority Front.

Meanwhile, a detailed investigation has been initiated by the police on the matter and the dead body has been sent for medical investigation and post mortem report to find out whether it is a suicide or there is some other reason as the cause of death.

Earlier this month Guwahati Police recovered the dead body of 55 years old painter named Milan Chetry from the Laxmi Nagar area in Hatigaon. The body was found lying in a mysterious room with a cut in the stomach. It was reported that the man was missing for 5 days before his body was recovered.

In another shocking incident in Assam, a day before on Saturday 11 December, a headless body of a girl was found floating in the banks of the Brahmaputra River in the area of Bhuyanbasti of Gagalmari located in the Morigaon district of Assam.

The investigation about the case is still going on by the police as the identity of the deceased girl is still unknown. The incident raises suspicions of a murder case.
