Guwahati International Film Festival (GIFF) pays tribute Biju Phukan

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati International Film Festival, 2018 paid tribute to Assamese Cinema's all-time favourite hero Biju Phukan on Sunday. On the 4th day of the festival, the organizers screened Jahnu Barua-directed and Biju Phukan-starer Aparoopa at Jyoti Chitraban Studio. The 1982 made family drama was screened to a packed audience and the viewers had to even watch standing at the auditorium, a press release said. Earlier, Pabitra Margherita, the chairman of Jyoti Chitraban, paid floral tribute to the portrait of the departed hero before the screening of the film.
