Guwahati Juva Nagarik Samiti opposed Home quarantine of COVID-19 patients

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Juva Nagarik Samiti (NYNS) has opposed home quarantine of COVID-19 patients. In a statement issued to the media on Thursday, NYNS president Kailash Sarma said, "A section people and Opposition parties in Assam have been demanding home quarantine of COVID patients through the social media. Who'll take the responsibility of treatment of COVID-19positive patients in their respective homes? Who'll take the responsibility of treatment of other family members in the even of being infected from the COVID-19 patients? Around 90 per cent of families in Assam don't have separate toilets in their houses. The demand for home quarantine of COVID-19 patients has been raised only for political purposes. We appeal to all to stand united at this crucial hour."
