Guwahati Landlord Murder Case: I Killed Hemdhar Baruah Not My Son, Says Dharanidhar Deka

"It is not my son but I who killed my landlord. My landlord, Hemdhar Baruah misbehaved with my wife and therefore I am compelled to kill him," Dharanidhar Deka confessed.

When asked about whether he took any debt from Baruah, Deka denied the allegations by saying that it is false and added that they have not taken any debt from Baruah whatsoever.

Deka also slammed the allegations made by Baruah's family that his son consumes drugs. He asserted that his son is far from being a drug addict and added that he would have killed his son had he taken drugs.

It is to be mentioned that a tenant allegedly hacked his landlord to death in the Japorigog area of Guwahati on the afternoon of May 20.

The tenant, who was identified as Dharani Deka, attacked his landlord by using a machete for allegedly misbehaving with his wife.

Deka reportedly surrendered himself at the Dispur police station after committing the crime.

As per reports, he seemed depressed for quite some time but otherwise, he is a very nice person.

Meanwhile, the landlord was rushed to a private hospital but he did not manage to survive and succumbed to his injuries.

Deka, who is in his 40's, works at a private news channel as a DTP operator.
