Guwahati: LPG Laden Truck Missing Since 15th August, FIR Lodged

Guwahati: Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG cylinders laden truck has been missing since August 15 from North Guwahati.

As per reports, the driver of the truck, identified as Sushil Sahani left the North Guwahati bottling plant to Lavanya Gas Agency in Jorhat at around 6:30 am on August 15 with 305 LPG cylinders.

In this regard, an FIR has been lodged by the truck owner, Hemanta Kumar Kalita at the Gauripur Police Station in connection to the incident.

Meanwhile yet is about to ascertain the whereabouts of the driver as Kalita tried to establish contact with the driver but his mobile was switched off.

On the basis of the FIR, police have launched search operations.

Notably, these days the price of Non-Subsidised LPG cylinders today in Guwahati is Rs 1,102.00. These prices are revised every month by the government of India.

LPG price in Guwahati is largely dependent on international prices of crude so as per their prices international crude prices, the rates of LPG keep on changing. LPG is known to be a very clean fuel, which is why it is preferred.

There has been a substantial rise in the use of this gas for domestic and commercial purposes over the last few years.
