Guwahati: Major Fire Breaks Out at Electricity Supply Line in Birubari

GUWAHATI: On Thursday night, a fire broke out in the Birubari area of Guwahati, terrifying the neighborhood's residents. According to reports, a high-capacity power transmission line in the Birubari region caught on fire Friday night, putting the locals in a stressful situation.

The fire and emergency services department was contacted shortly after the incident started. Officials were finally able to put out the fires with the assistance of some residents after a protracted battle, according to reliable sources.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time. Images from the scene showed a pole covered in electricity wires in flames, but the extent of the damage was thought to be quite small.

A potential catastrophe was avoided because of the fire department's rapid response which limited the fire's progress. It should be remembered that on June 5 in Guwahati, a transformer caught fire in broad daylight on the B. Borooah road.

There were no immediate reports of injuries in the incident. The unheard-of fire was successfully put out after local police and a fire tender arrived on the scene.

Additionally, the cause of the fire could not be determined right away.

Recently, at the Maligaon flyover in Guwahati, which is currently under construction, a small fire erupted. According to sources, the blaze broke out on a tarpaulin sheet on Friday morning when welding was being done.

Even if the fire isn't particularly large, passing vehicles can see sparks and debris falling over them. Fortunately, there were no recorded casualties or injuries.

On the other hand, on Wednesday morning, a huge fire started at a transformer that was put in at the Dibrugarh Cancer Care Centre in Assam. The fire reportedly started at a transformer that was erected on the hospital's property.

A short circuit is thought to be the cause of the fire. Soon later, firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire. The Assam Cancer Care Foundation manages the cancer treatment facility, which is situated on the Assam Medical College campus.
