GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Multipurpose Development Council has made an appeal on Saturday to allot land pattas to the indigenous people of the city who have been living over 15 years in different areas of the city and in government land.

Council president Sonarul Shah Mustafa, general secretary Bhupen Sarma and secretary Sahed Ali Ahmed expressed their disappointment over the matter of water crisis in the city. In a press release the council stated that it's very disappointing that both the Congress and BJP governments couldn't solve the issue of water crisis in the city. Hence the council is now demanding proper water facility and land pattas for the landless indigenous people of the city.
