Guwahati Municipal Corporation Commissioner urges citizens to keep city clean

GUWAHATI: The Commissioner of Guwahati Municipal Corporation has made a special appeal to the residents to keep the city clean and not to spit on roads, footpaths, dividers and in public places. A notification by the GMC Office says that spitting and littering in public places has already been termed as a crime. Hence at this time such activities may appear as one of the reasons of coronavirus outbreak. GMC urged the city dwellers to extend their supporting hand in keeping the city clean so as to prevent the outbreak of the dreaded virus.
