Guwahati Municipal Corporation directs street vendors to maintain cleanliness and hygiene

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has directed all street vendors in the city to maintain cleanliness and hygiene along with proper discipline while carrying out their business. This was conveyed at a meeting of the Vending Committee of the GMC on Thursday which was also attended by members of the Assam Street Vendors Association.

According to sources, the association's members assured GMC Commissioner Devasish Sharma that the association would personally monitor and ensure that street vendors follow the GMC's guideline.
