Guwahati Municipal Corporation organized Swachhata Pakhawda

GUWAHATI: Cleanliness drives will be organised across the capital city as a part of the Swachhata Pakhawda, or cleanliness fortnight, ahead of the Swachh Bharat Divas on October 2. The Guwahati Municipal Corporation has issued a comprehensive plan for a cleanliness drive across the city.““They have announced that the cleaning of the marketplaces has taken place on September 22 and September 23 at 8 a.m. at Ganeshguri Market, BK Kakoti Market, Supermarket and Wholesale Fish Market, and divisions Div III and Div IV. Div. V and Div. VI are responsible for the same.““They will organise the cleaning of the railway tracks from Panbazar to Maligaon on September 25 at 9 a.m., and Divisions I and II are responsible for the same. Government vehicle parking places will be cleaned on September 26 at 8 a.m.““Cleaning of tourist places will take place on September 27 at 8 a.m. at Sukleswar Temple, Brahmaputra Heritage, Ropeway, and Div II. Cleaning of CT/PTs for the eradication of yellow points will be organised on September 28 at 8 a.m., and all divisions are responsible for it. Maas collection of plastic waste will take place on September 29 at all the schools under the Akshar Foundation. The responsibility for the same lies with CPM, SBM, and Divisional Engineers Health Checkup Camps for Sanitation Workers, which will take place on September 25 from 9 a.m. at Fatasil Harizan Colony and Old Garage, GMC, under the responsibility of Divs. VI and II.
