Guwahati Police arrests six individuals for kidnapping case

GUWAHATI: Another kidnapping case has come to light in the city. Md. Insan Ali was kidnapped by some unknown culprit near the Maniram Dewan Trade Center ISBT on Wednesday, when he was engaged in some building-side construction-related work. The victim’s brother, Md. Inamule Hoque, lodged an FIR, which was registered (case number 60/2023 U/S 365 IPC) in Gorchuk police station on the same day, stating that his brother had been missing since Wednesday afternoon.

In regard to this, Gorchuk police led a search operation where they arrested six people, all of whom hail from Dhubri district. They are identified as Faijal Ali (40), Rbiul Haque (21), Sultan Sheikh (27), Sattar Ali, Omar Ali, and Saminul Hoque. The police recovered the victim.
