Guwahati Refinery provides aid to Divyangjans

GUWAHATI: Guwahati Refinery, under its CSR initiatives, recently distributed aids and assistive devices to Divyangjans at a camp organized by the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), Regional Marketing Centre, Guwahati in association with National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled (NCSCDA), Guwahati at Gopinath Nagar, stated a press release.

In the camp, varied aids and appliances like motorized tricycle, tricycle, wheelchair, crutch, Braille cane, rolator, BTE (hearing aid machine), MSIED kit, daisy player etc., were distributed among 49 beneficiaries of Kamrup (M) district. The camp was attended by SP Singh, Executive Director & Refinery Head, Guwahati Refinery, along with Ram Kishor Sharma, Assistant Director, Employment, (NCSCDA), Guwahati, Mukesh Misra, Manager, ALIMCO and other senior officials.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Singh said that 'care' has always been one of the values which has been guiding Indian Oil in its various activities, which it has been taking up for the cause of society and its people. While expressing his happiness at being able to provide the assistive devices which would further contribute in empowering the lives of the beneficiaries, he further assured Indian Oil's support in taking the society along with it.

It may be mentioned that in one of such camps organized on March 10 at Pacharia under Kamrup (Rural ) district, Guwahati Refinery provided assistive devices like motorized tricycle, tricycle, wheelchair, smart cane, walking stick, hearing aid etc., to 267 Divyangjans of Kamrup (Rural) district.
