Guwahati: Team Led By JCP Partha Mahanta Seizes 1,00,000 Yaba Tablets, International Racket Busted

GUWAHATI: Guwahati Police strikes again! In one of the biggest seizures of drugs by Guwahati Police, a team led by Joint CP Partha Mahanta seized a huge consignment of Yaba Tablets from a commercial vehicle.

According to city police, 1,00,000 Yaba tablets were confiscated and four members of an international drug network were arrested.

The arrested persons have been identified as Md. Islam Uddin (40), Md. Abu (21), Md. Sakir Ahmed (27) all hailing from Manipur and Md. Abbas Ali (27) of Dhumsi, Bihar.

Notably in the operation, one Dumper truck was also been seized.

Earlier on June 29, acting on specific inputs, CGPD SOG and Paltanbazaar Police raided a house in the Lachit Nagar area in Guwahati and arrested Jolie Devi and Ankur Jyoti Das for trafficking drugs.

A total of 7 gms brown sugar, 5 mobile phones, 4 syringes, and 1 Dio Scooty (AS01BS2872) with ₹ 15,500/-cash were recovered.
