Guwahati: Traffic Police Officer Found Dead

Guwahati: A traffic police officer named Biplab Kumar Singha was mysteriously found dead on Friday.

Singha was posted at the Bhangagarh Police Station in Guwahati and his body was found in his bed inside the station premises.

According to reports, he was on duty on Thursday evening.

After failing to establish contact with him, his colleagues searched him and found his body lying on bed.

However, the reason of his death is yet to be ascertained as the post-mortem report hasn't been received.

Speaking to media, Singh's senior termed him as brave and daring person.

''He (Biplab) arrived at 10.15 PM and i left around 11PM. While were talking to each other, Singha sought some phone numbers of doctors. Since, I have been in this station for a long time, I have helped several people coming for treatment and also know many doctors,'' he added.
