Guwahati: Unidentified Body Found in Khanapara Veterinary College Premises
GUWAHATI: A fully-decomposed body of a man was found inside the campus of the college of veterinary science in the Khanapara area of Guwahati.
According to reports, the body was discovered by several students inside the college campus behind a public toilet inside the campus, who then informed the authorities.
The identities of the deceased are still to be determined.
Meanwhile, Dispur Police arrived at the scene and collected the body for autopsy.
Notably, the body was recovered at a distance of merely 100 metres from the veterinary college playground, where the main Independence Day function in Assam was being held.
Earlier in the month of May 2022, a body of a youth was recovered from the Chandmari area of Guwahati in the early hours.
According to reports, the body of the youth was found with foam coming out of his nose and mouth. The body was found near the Assam Engineering Institute (AEI) campus in Chandmari.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. However, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem.
