Guwahati: Unidentified Dead Body Found In City's Bus Stand

GUWAHATI: An unidentified man's body was found lying in Janata Bhawan's bus stand in Guwahati today morning.

The body was found lying dead at the back of the steel bench present in the Janata Bhawan's bus stop, just in front of the Janata Bhawan's petrol pump while coming or landing from Ganeshguri and Bhangagarh's side and it seemed the man was tied on the neck to the railing of the back wall.

The incident was witnessed by some people around and they then informed the Dispur police.

Meanwhile, a dead body carrier was also present on the spot. The accident was sighted at around 11: 30 AM today.

Later on, the body was sent for post mortem and as of now, no more details have been fetched up as the investigation is going on.

Further details will be intimidated in due course of time.

In yet another shocking incident, a body of a youth, with tied legs, was found inside an under-constructed building in Guwahati's Bhetapara area on Saturday.

The deceased identified as Mithun Das was a resident of Nagarbera under the Kamrup district. The Basistha police have detained seven persons in connection to the incident for questioning.
