Guwahati Woman robbed near Ganeshguri in broad day light, Case Registered

Guwahati: Daylight Robbery has turned very common these days in the metro cities, in a similar kind of incident a woman has been allegedly robbed of Rs 13 lakh at Ganeshguri area near Ganesh Mandir in Guwahati today.

As per police report, a victim lady identified as Beauty Saharia, a resident of Rukminigaon had parked her Alto car bearing registration number AS 01BW 2344 near the Beekay Tower in Ganeshguri area and reportedly left behind Rs 13 lakh cash on the front seat.

Meanwhile, bike-borne robbers took away the money from the car's front seat and escaped towards Ganesh Mandir area.

As per an eye witness's statement, he saw both robbers coming from the opposite direction and suddenly opened the door of the front seat of the Alto car, picked up the money and escaped towards Ganesh Mandir side. "The bike was a new Pulsar bike as it did not have a number plate," said the eye witness.

Speaking to The Sentinel Digital, Dispur Police officials while confirming the matter had informed that a case has been registered in connection to the matter.
