HAYAT Hospital Organized Competitive Marathon on World Diabetes Day

GUWAHATI: In conjunction with World Diabetes Day on Thursday morning, HAYAT Hospital successfully held a Competitive Marathon run in the city. It is worth mentioning that the Theme of World Diabetes Day this year, 2019, is Family and Diabetes, meaning “Protect your Family”. The threat of diabetes worldwide has now also increased manifold in Assam. Hence, with an aim to promote awareness regarding Diabetes amongst the general mass, Hayat Hospital organized the Marathon Run Contest. This mega awareness run held at the Khanapara Veterinary College Ground at 5.30 AM on Thursday, featured two groups of 5 KM and 10 KM run, where winners of both group were presented with cash money, trophy, medal and certificate in 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in both sections, a press release stated.
