'Heroin' seized from woman in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Based on a source input, the city SOG (Special Operation Group) team along with the staff from Gorchuk Police Station recovered 44 grams of suspected heroin from the possession of a person identified as Jayanti Begum (wife of Ainul Ali alias Mainul, resident of Goroimari under Chaygaon Police Station) near Bamunpara, near Haokuchi here. The Police also been seized a scooty (AS01 AN 9246) and a mobile phone besides Rs 3,300 in cash fromher possession.
