GUWAHATI: Based on specific information, the Basistha police on Sunday intercepted a vehicle at Khanapara and made a recovery of 765 gm of suspected heroin valued at around Rs 6 crore.

According to police sources, four persons - Kelvin Klein, Mankhro Ronghang, Manik Engti of Nongpoh in Meghalaya and Dhrubajyoti Bora of Samuguri - have been arrested in this connection.

The vehicle (ML10C 1641) was travelling from Khatkhati to Meghalaya, the sources said, adding that the heroin was packed inside 60 boxes.
